Liars need time to construct their story. You must take that time away.
Wait for them to finish a sentence.
Immediately ask 3 rapid-fire questions about small details (e.g., 'What color was the Uber? Who opened the door? What exact time did you leave?').
Do not let them pause to think. Maintain intense eye contact.
THE RESULT :
A lying brain cannot invent details that fast. They will either freeze, start stuttering (the rumble), or get angry and defensive (the eruption).
Anger is the biggest sign of deception in this context.
