HOW TO DO IT :
- When you are across the room, catch their eye.
- Do not smile. Hold the eye contact with a completely blank, almost bored expression.
- Let them break the eye contact first.
- Right as they look away, give a tiny, slow smile to yourself (as if you know a secret about them), then look down at the floor.
WHY IT WORKS :
- The blank stare is intimidating (danger), but looking down at the floor with a smile is submissive (vulnerability). This mixed signal short-circuits their logic. They will feel an overwhelming, magnetic urge to walk over to you and figure you out.
