HOW TO DO IT :
No matter how clearly they explain something, act polite but completely confused.
- Phase 1: 'Wait, I don't get it. Can you explain that part again?'
- Phase 2: (After they explain) 'Okay, but I still don't understand why [X] happens. Is it [Y]?' (Say something totally wrong).
- Phase 3: 'I’m trying so hard to understand, maybe you should show me?'
WHY IT WORKS :
- Cognitive Exhaustion. It takes 10x more energy to teach a 'confused' person than to just do the work yourself. Eventually, they will say, 'Forget it, I'll handle it,' just to end the conversation.
